About the Conference

The 2nd DAE-BRNS Conference on “Advances in Water Chemistry, Biofilms, Biofouling and Corrosion Control (AWC-BBC 2026)”, organised by Water & Steam Chemistry Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and sponsored by Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Department of Atomic Energy, will be held in Anupuram Township, Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, during December 16-19, 2026. The aim of this conference is to bring together scientists and industry professionals to deliberate on the latest innovations in the field of reactor water chemistry, decontamination and waste management, cooling water treatment, biofilms, bioremediation and biofouling control. AWC-BBC 2026 is envisioned to provide a unique platform to faculty, industry professionals and students to share recent advances in reactor water chemistry, cooling water treatment, corrosion control, biofouling control, biofilms and biofilm-biotechnologies for meeting Sustainable Development Goals.

The symposium organising committee invites participation of scientists, senior researchers, research scholars and industry professionals engaged in basic and applied research across the field of reactor water chemistry, decontamination, waste management, biofilms and biofouling to witness insightful developments and networking opportunities. The scientific program will include invited talks, oral presentations of contributed papers and poster presentations. The conference will have parallel sessions dedicated to varied topics under AWC and BBC themes.
